The
Midlands Meander is a stimulating arts and crafts route which
extends over a distance of some 80 kms between Pietermaritzburg
and Mooi River. It was started in 1983 by several of the local
artists, potters, weavers and other craftspeople who live in the
area. It is an ideal way to market their products, keep down
their prices and allow visitors to view their craft. The Meander
is a short drive from St Mary's and well worth the visit. For
