Junior Primary School Play: In the News

The Junior Primary at St Mary's delighted grandparents when they performed their centenary play called "In the News" to a packed hall.  Grandparents could call back the past as the play spanned the ‘100’ years of St Mary’s existence linking the history of the world to the history of the school.  The play was cleverly narrated by a ‘radio studio’ recalling the world history and ‘the principal’s office’ recounting the school’s history. This was all made possible by the Grade 7’s discovering a time capsule and travelling back in time.

After the production, the Grade 3 girls, as ‘senior’s’ of the Junior Primary, invited their grandparents to join them for a special tea in the dining hall and then they were invited back to the classroom to admire the girls work completed throughout the year.
