Our Reception classes at St Mary’s DSG, which were founded in 2000, are housed in close proximity to our Junior Primary classes, in their own secure and child-friendly home.

Three experienced and nurturing teachers each have a class of 20 pupils in bright and stimulating classrooms. These classrooms form the girl’s home-base where the focus of learning is more structured. During free-play sessions the girls have a variety of areas to choose from. They have a fully equipped outdoor area, Cognitive room, Fantasy room, Creative and Block construction area.

Our programme is carefully designed to include a perfect balance between structured learning and learning through play.

Being part of a large school enables us to take full advantage of all the facilities and the Reception girls visit the St Mary’s chapel each week, as well as Library, Computers, Music and Movement, swimming and Gym classes.

An excellent after-care facility is also available for the girls, which commences at the end of their school day.
