Cultural Tour 2007 |

| On the 30th June 2007, forty-four very excited girls and five teachers left on the St Mary's Cultural Tour to Italy, Paris and London. The tour started in Rome and from here we made our way through Italy in fabulously hot weather, eating mounds of pasta, pizza and Italian ice-cream. We visited many galleries, historical landmarks and shopped till we literally dropped, before moving on to Paris. Here we sampled the lifestyle of the French, visiting the Palace of Versailles, the Eiffel Tower and a number of other places of interest. The highlight of this amazingly romantic city was probably the French Cabaret on our last night. Our last stop was London, where a number of girls met up with friends and family in between last minute shopping, visits to galleries and a stupendous production of "Billy Elliot" at the Victoria Palace Theatre. The girls learnt so much about themselves and other cultures on this tour. I am sure that these memories will stay with them forever. |
