Tru 2 B U forms part of our Whole Life
Programme in the Primary School. The aim of Tru 2 B U is to encourage a pastoral care type mentorship amongst the grades, particularly the seniors and the Junior Primary girls. The girls are randomly assigned to “buddy groups” across the grades, starting at Grade 2 and up to Grade 7.
The Grade 7 girls are mentors and facilitators of the activities, which are timetabled approximately fortnightly. The groups are overseen by “HOME” teachers, who assist with queries and promote discussion in the groups. The activities include discussion groups, games and group tasks to highlight “Service Before Self” as well as different special celebrations or topical aspects of local, national or international importance.
It is our aim that the girls gain insight from the programme while having less formal lessons which include fun activities.
